Should I recommend a book I haven’t read??

LOL, well, let me tell you the story. I was listening to the excellent Mom Talk Radio this morning and she had on Jennifer Graf Groneberg, who wrote Road Map to Holland: How I Found My Way Through My Son’s First Two Years With Down Syndrome. So I read the excerpt and I was crying like a baby. Wow, how awesome is this woman’s writing? How did she TOTALLY capture the essence of the moment when she found out about her baby? Like Jennifer, I didn’t test Amelia before birth, Like Jennifer, I totally remember the moment of conception. Like Jennifer, I lost it when I help my baby in my arms and the news sunk in and made my baby cry.

I want to pick this book up after vacation. Honestly, if I was this good a writer, I’d write nonfiction. Instead, I have to captivate with fiction. And I did, a very nice piece I wrote about the same kind of situation in my writing class. The only reason I’m not sharing it with you is because it’s damn good and I’d like to write a short story around it.

I’ll review the book after vacation, after reading, and after running out of tissues. This post brought to you by:
