On Twitter, which is always fun and amazing, education activist Tim Ferris is running a contest and a charity to help U.S. Public School students. All you have to do is follow him on Twitter and he will donate $3 to support public school classrooms.
My daughter goes to public school kindergarten and we are blessed and fortunate enough to live in a very good school district. The school has done so well that my daughter, in spite of the school wanting to label her as mentally retarded, is academically able to move into the first grade and OUT of the autism learning classroom once she gets there. The teachers here are simply wonderful. So I know FIRST HAND how important a good public school system is, and how much schools need our support.
And you can win a round trip ticket to anywhere or a MacBook. Sounds good to me…
To enter the contest, follow him, promoted the cause, retweet, and comment on your efforts at his blog: Tweet to Beat.

They are running a daily feature on how to grow our children into readers. Just what I need!
